YCSA Vice President

Bio:

Born and raised in Jamaica Estates, NY, I went to MTA for high school. After graduation, I spent a year in Gush and then returned to spend even more time in the Heights. I love all 4 major sports (in order: baseball, hockey, basketball, football; soccer doesn't count) and have a voracious appetite for all YU news. As an English and Computer Science major, I have the ability to relate to all students in YU. I hope to have the ability to meet everybody and look forward to representing you as YCSA VP.

Why are you running for this position on student council?            

I think that every student should be given a voice in the process. With the diverse student body on campus, everybody should be given the opportunity to be part of a club that they want to be part of. As vice president, I hope to bring your concerns to the administration and help ensure that your YU experience is the best it can be.

What experience do you bring to this position?   

As deputy commissioner of the YU frisbee intramural league, I know what it takes to run a successful club. By being a member of TLN, hockey intramurals, and writing for the Commentator, I have seen how different leaders run successful organizations. I hope to bring this knowledge to YCSA, and help make a great student council even better.

At YU, I...

I live in a YU dorm, I eat at least half of my meals in the caf, I stay in Washington Heights at least two shabbatot a month, I have not faced any disciplinary action from Yeshiva University, I do not have a criminal record nor have I been arrested

Why should students vote for you over any other candidate?

I am totally committed to making our great institution even better. I think that my unique double major and my quest to know all things YU, makes me the ideal choice to be the representative of our diverse student body.
