STORM ALERT: Schools Close Tuesday

Yeshiva University has cancelled classes on Tuesday, October 29, as Hurricane Sandy continues its assault on the East Coast. Classes, labs, and for many students, mid-terms, will again be rescheduled. The cafeteria, dorms,and the Glueck center will remain open but the Mendel Gottesman Library and other libraries remain closed. According to Rabbi Elisha Bacon, morning shiurim will be cancelled.

New York City transit is still closed. Mayer Fertig, Senior Director of Media Relations of Yeshiva University, told The Commentator "The safety of our students and our staff remains our number-one concern."

Only essential staff will be on campus on Tuesday. Security personel urge students to stay indoors and avoid traveling at any point during the next 36 hours.
