Hurricane Blows Out Windows, Hurls Debris

Hurricane Sandy's gale force winds blew out windows on the third floor of Belfer Hall on the Wilf Campus. The Commentator was at the scene when shards of glass came hurling into the "Belfer wind tunnel." Security personnel evacuated the area.

A student was evacuated from his dorm room in Rubin residence hall after scaffolding threatened to break loose.  The scaffolding, which has already shown signs of damage from the storm, poses a serious danger to students. Netting whipped around in the strong winds and planks rumbled under the heavy rain.

If you notice loose scaffolding, leave your room and notify security and your resident advisor immediately.
