Loan Fund Gets Big Usdan Gift (Vol. 2, Issue 12)
A contribution of approximately two hundred dollars from the family of Leo J. Usdan ’36, to be used as permanent capital for the loan fund was accepted by Student Council at a regular meeting last night.
Council also passed a resolution naming the fund the Usdan Family Loan Fund, in honor of the donor of its permanent capital.
Originally established with a permanent capital of fifty dollars, supplied by Council, the fund has been inadequate to meet existing demands. It was pointed out that even the original capital was made possible through the efforts of the Usdan family.
The hope was expressed by members of Council thaht the action of the Usdans would serve as an inspiration to other people.
