Meet the Candidates: Natan Szegedi

Natan Szegedi, Economics

Desired position in Student Government:

Junior Class Secretary/Treasurer

Bio:

Why are you running for this position on student council?

I was born in Budapest, Hungary. Beginning with 10th grade I attended Yeshiva of New Haven and then spent a year in Sha'alvim. I'm currently a sophomore in YC and hoping to major in economics or another related field.

What experience do you bring to this position?

I believe that there are many great ways to enhance student life on campus. Even if only for my class, but I want to be part of the team that is working so hard on making this happen. I'm hoping that as a Class Secretary/Treasurer my contribution will help make responsible decisions for our class.

What, if any, other leadership commitments are you taking on next year?

I worked at the Seforim Sale and I'm participating in the QUEST Leadership Training program on campus.

How many credits do you plan on taking next semester?

17

At YU, I...

I live within five blocks of the YC campus, I stay in Washington Heights at least two shabbatot a month, I have attended courses outside Yeshiva University, I have not faced any disciplinary action from Yeshiva University, I do not have a criminal record nor have I been arrested

Why should students vote for you over any other candidate?

Who knows when will you need someone who speaks Hungarian!?
